Wikis for Beginners - Jim Gallagher - IU5

This presentation will explain the general concept of using wikis.  Participants will create their own account using wikispaces.com and work through the basic steps of developing a wikispace. Time for discussion and questions about how to use wikispaces in the classroom will also be provided.  Participants should have a valid e-mail address and possess a basic understanding of using the Internet.

 

 

Becoming a Blogger - Kyli Sitterley - PENNCREST School District

Using Edmodo, a private micro-blogging platform, participants will create an online space to share and connect with students. Create discussions, calendar events, upload files and even grade assignments all within Edmodo. Only the students you give access can see your Edmodo classroom space. No email address is required for students to register on Edmodo. Connect with your students, at school and at home, with this free and easy to use online application.

Google Apps- Your Collaborative Creativity Pallette - Akram Bhatti - Millcreek Township School District

 Google- It's not just for "googling" anymore.  Google has developed an on-line FREE Suite of applications that includes word-processor, spreadsheet and presentation tools- along with some user-friendly and classroom-useful elements.  During this hands-on session we will use these tools and share brainstorming ideas for their use to support learning-for all learners.
