Internet in the 7-12 Classroom - Jaime Bennett - Millcreek Township School District
The internet is a powerful tool with a vast amount of information, and many of today's students love spending time surfing the web. This session will investigate internet sites that can be used for various content areas, including sites for drill and practice, tutorials, research, interactive activities, virtual manipulatives, and online educational games. You will leave this session with several examples of websites you could use in your own classroom or to provide students with resources, practice opportunities, or help with difficult concepts. Bringing the internet into the classroom makes a valuable connection between what students are interested at home and what they are learning at school.
